The warning intrigues him. Percival is well aware that this is no simple magic, that this spell will likely take a lot out of Essek given the fact that he also teleported here and had a rough go of that. He stays still and quiet as his husband casts. The energy of it feels different like this and the wolf goes momentarily rigid, but that's mostly to keep from trying to shake off the tingly feeling. As the casting finishes, he relaxes again, eyes intent and curious.

He cocks his head when he hears Essek's voice so clearly in his mind.

Oh... this is better. There's another little wave of relief. It's strange, but... I think I like this.

He feels oddly close to Essek, which is a relief when his body is so different right now. He leans close to gently nuzzle his husband. He breathes in deep and this time he can't quite hide the shivering exhale, a growl rumbling in his chest. This is his mate. Beyond the spellwork he's performed today, Percy is a little surprised that Essek is still upright.

I can't believe you came out in this state. He turns his head away and carefully picks up the the bags by their straps. Once again, he stays close to Essek as he heads west. They eventually start moving uphill and Percival tries to find the easiest paths.
