Somehow, it is true that Percival's scent both calms and enflames Essek. Breathing him in makes him feel relaxed and safe, but also arouses him like nothing else. The smell of the forest threaded through it only adds another dimension of interest. He's never liked the scent of pine more.
As the wolf covers him more, Essek lets himself lay all the way back against the blanket beneath him, reaching up instead to curl his fingers into his fur as far up as he can reach, chin tilting up to nuzzle him back. It isn't as easy like this to rock back against him, and there is something appealing about that right now, to just lay back and take what he's given, but he tries anyway, a little restless.
"Please," he whispers, sounding even more desperate than he intended. "Don't pull out, stay inside me. This is where you belong."
